I help support and maintain the customer facing website for all 3 of Exelon's utilites.

New Business

Architected a new subsite for BGE.com which provides multiple interactive forms for customers to request new service or modifications to existing service to be constructed. There is also a dashboard view which allows those same customers to check on the status of their submitted applications. This was later decided to be the northstar application across all of Exelon and expanded to replace the existing processes for the remaining utilities.

Smart Energy Economic Development (SEED)

An extension to the New Business site which provides a way for customers to enroll in BGE's SEED program.

Independent Projects

BGE Google Assistant

Leveraged existing microservices to build an app for the Google Assistant/Google Home allowing customers to report outages and get the status of repairs via speaking and natural language processing. This was presented at the Exelon Innovation Expo and won 4th place out of 193 entries.

Business Intelligence/Data Analytics

Developed multiple integrations to transfer of hundred of gigabytes of data from the smart meters to the BI/DA data stores.

AMI Load Graph

Created a website that displays the load on the AMI network in near real time, allowing the Demand Response team to make decisions about Peak Rewards events based on actual load.

Smart Energy Manager

Wrote the Java library used by Tibco integrations to authenticate and interact with the Opower API.

Independent Projects

AMI Meter Ping

Designed and developed a website for use during storm situations to enable crews to remotely determine if power has been restored to a location.

AMI Mesh Monitor

Designed and developed a website to provide statistics and visuals concerning the health and performance of the smart meter mesh network.

Smart Meter High Temperature Alarm

Architected and developed a set of integrations that monitor the internal temperature of every smart meter in near real time, and automatically notifies the emergency field dispatchers if abnormalities are detected. Over 80 potential house fires have been prevented to-date. I was awarded the BGE Safety Achievement Award for my work on this effort.

Eco-Challenge Website

Designed and developed the website used during the Exelon Eco Team's (an internal volunteer organization) annual Eco-Challenge to track and score participants.
